Overview

Engagement Tracker for iMIS is a 24/7 website engagement monitoring system designed to track all designated click engagements across all your websites, whether or not a visitor is logged in. If a user logs in to your iMIS, Higher Logic, or SSO-integrated website, their iMIS ID will be recorded with each engagement. This includes retroactive ID assignment if the user logs in during an extended session.

Any tracked link or collection of links can be assigned to an advertiser. Advertisers are provided with a portal on your iMIS website to view click data in real time. You may tailor data sharing based on advertiser class as you would with any other iMIS EMS data.

Additional features include location tracking with automatic address lookups, slideshow enhancements with 11 aspect ratios, multi-domain support, and secure self-service account management.

Tracking All Engagements

Engagement Tracker allows you to track any click on any iMIS webpage, authenticated or not. Data is stored in a standard iMIS Panel, accessible via IQA, Report Builder, and Engagement Management.

Information Collected from the Web

Engagement Tracker collects detailed analytics similar to Google Analytics, including: page URL, link clicked, date and time, time zone, browser details, preferred language, cookies enabled, and user platform.

Track Engagement for Advertisers, Members or Staff

You can associate an iMIS ID with any link to track engagement by advertisers, members, or staff. Use cases include:

  • Advertisers tracking ad performance
  • Members or affiliates monitoring listing engagement
  • Staff tracking user clicks for compliance

Tracking Authenticated Users

Authenticated users have their iMIS ID attached to each click. If a user logs in during an extended session, their ID is assigned retroactively to earlier clicks. This enables powerful engagement scoring and personalized reporting. Data shared with advertisers can include contact info, activity, or demographics—fully customizable.

Track Location

Users may opt in to share their location. Engagement Tracker will automatically look up and store their approximate address at the time of interaction.

iMIS Slideshow Enhancements

Engagement Tracker includes 11 predefined CSS classes for controlling ad aspect ratios across screen sizes. An optional “Advertising” banner can be added for a more professional presentation.

Engagement Analytics

Staff and advertisers have access to built-in dashboards. Staff can view global or per-advertiser metrics, and advertisers can view or export engagement data directly through the iMIS site.

Built-In Security Management

The tool includes a self-service account reset feature and uses 256-bit encryption. If the background account fails, email alerts are sent immediately and every 8 hours until resolved.

Multiple Domain Support

Engagement Tracker accurately tracks clicks from any of your organization's approved domains, supporting environments with multiple websites.
